[Posponed] May the FOURTH Be With You Hack Night

May 4, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

*Posponed until June 1st*

The Asheville Makers will be hosting the Asheville Electronics and Computers event May the FOURTH Be With You Hack Night. See below for event description. There are a limited number of boards, so please RSVP to theashevillemakers@gmail.com to reserve a spot.

“Let’s spend Star Wars night learning about a cool little board called the NodeMCU. It is a tiny inexpensive board that contains a full wifi device or host and is programmed via a USB port from your computer using a script language called Lua (Portuguese for moon – thus the class title). Come bring your laptop and let’s learn and play! No programming experience needed. I will have ten of the NodeMCUs to play with and will teach a class on how to use the board. We will create our own little Internet of Things! Location courtesy of Asheville Makers! Update – we probably won’t have time to show how to load Arduino on the boards and create some sketches (programs) but I will try to have a handout about that. The class is more about using the Lua interface.

Hope to see you there!”
